Book review: Always Watching by Lynette Eason

Radio personality Wade Savage is being stalked, so unbeknownst to him, his father hires the Elite Guardians as bodyguards.  But the bodyguard and Wade are attacked, so security is stepped up by agency owner Olivia Edwards.  As Olivia and her team seek to keep Wade and his family safe, the stalker heightens the frequency of incidents, keeping the suspense and mystery going throughout the story.

This book grabs your attention in the very first chapter and doesn’t let go until the very end, and you never know when you’ll be slammed with a plot twist-it could be at the end of the chapter, forcing you to turn the page and keep reading, or it could rock your world in the middle of a chapter.  I really enjoyed this fast-paced, can’t-put-it-down suspense novel.

Always Watching is billed as Romantic Suspense, but one thing I loved about it was that the romance did not get in the way of the story line.  Olivia and Wade were attracted to each other from the beginning, but the challenge of keeping him and his family safe, and finding the stalker, took precedence over initiating a romantic relationship.  Anyone who enjoys mystery, suspense, or police dramas, men or women, will enjoy this book.  This is the first book of the Elite Guardians series, and the first book I've read by this author.  I am really looking forward to the rest of this series.

I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher, in exchange for an honest review, which I have given.

About the author:

After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Business Degree she used for a very short time (sorry Mom and Dad), she moved to Spartanburg, SC to attend Converse College where she obtained her Masters degree in Education. During this time, she met the man she would marry—the boy next door!  She is married to Jack Eason, who speaks, leads worship, and consults ministries around the country. They have two children.

Lynette’s books have appeared on the ECPA and CBA bestseller lists and have won several awards.
